The Donnas

Hey guys! Still reeling from North Cackalacky, the people at the hotel we stayed at A Loft are the nicest ever! Free cappuccinos?! Oh won't u stop ; ) !!! Anyway, this weekend, Saturday the 14th to be exact, I'm playing w/ The Stripminers at Alex's Bar in Long Beach. That's right, the one we were honored to ravage Donnas-style last year or so. That's right, the real live site of Fangtasia: mecca of fang bangers on the salacious True Blood! And we're playing with The Muffs, which is extra poignant, because when The Donnas were still called Screen, at our very first show, we played their song "Big Mouth", aaaaaaaand The Donnas 18th Bandiversary is this Friday the 13th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry for the run-on, but big news permits bad grammar! And this is big! We're legal! And we will be celebrating for f'ing E V E R ! So feel free to join in, in body, in mind, in spirit, whatevz! Some things are just so great that you gotta celebrate like your life depends on it, cuz it duzzzzz!!!! One more thing... I'm also playing w/ The Stripminers at The Satellite (formerly Spaceland) on Wed the 18th, so if u can't come Sat, come Wed, or come to both! Mack Winston and the Reflections, who u might remember from Desert Moon will be playing too, and Morgan Phalen from Diamond Nights, all great players w/ great songs, and hotttt too!! Yeah it's not a proper Donnas show, but it'll keep you limber and ready for the next time we play, and I'm guaranteeing fun! - Brett
